Pass Christian, Mississippi Marina

This is the Pass Christian Marina where all the fishing boats dock in this section of the Mississippi Gulf Coast.  All these photos were taken using a tripod and the HDR (High Dynamic Range) imaging technique of merging 3 bracketed photos together.

Before I left Detroit I told friends my farthest point south would be the Mississippi Gulf Coast. Turned out it was New Orleans. But I had decided before I left that the Mississippi Gulf Coast would be my last destination. So after I photo'd this I started my drive back. It was late afternoon so I still had some daylight left. I drove US 90 to I-10 to I-65 till well after dark to a rest stop somewhere in Tennessee. I slept in the back of my car then, in the morning, continued up I-65 into southern Indiana.

Pass Christian, Mississippi Gulf Coast Homes

Here are a few of the homes along the Pass Christian, Mississippi Gulf Coast. All of these lie on US 90 or very close to US 90.

The two photos (above and below) are of the same house. The largest structure sits on the corner with the two smaller ones on either side.

Round Blue House

This house I call the Round Blue House, is on a corner lot and up a side street off US 90 in Long Beach, Mississippi and reminded me of houses I had seen close to the ocean around Santa Cruz, California years ago.

DSCF2767a

It's just a round (maybe 12 short sides) blue house, probably 300-400 square feet, on stilts, with parking and some storage below.

And there was this screened work room and a shed out back.

The last two pictures (below) I took with a tripod and the HDR (High Dynamic Range) imaging technique of merging 3 bracketed photos together. You can see the color and detail are a bit better than the photos above.

Long Beach, Mississippi Harbor

Still Day 6 of my trip south from Detroit back in January.

The Long Beach, Mississippi Harbor had only pleasure boats. There wasn't much going on here in January. The walkways were open only to boat owners.
